It's not every day you can be a superhero, but you can be one for Ronald Greenawalt.

It’s not every day you can be a superhero, but you can be one for Ronald Greenawalt.

Ronald, father of an Apollo-Ridge student, has end stage renal failure, and was recently placed on the kidney transplant list.  The wait for kidney can be at least five years, but a kidney can also be donated by a living donor.

Being a living donor means you are offering someone a second chance at life by allowing them to receive kidney transplant sooner.  A living donor must be between the ages of 18 and 75, be in good health, and have an unselfish desire to help another person in a healthy way.

Learn how you can give life at UPMC.com/LivingDonorKidney or register to be a living donor at livingdonorreg.upmc.com.  Indicate Ronald Greenawalt as the intended recipient.
